Online Training Opportunities

Many Red Cross training courses are available online self-study at the Learning Management System website.  Courses are free.  Students can self-register by visiting https://learningctr.redcross.org/elms/pws/portal.do?siteID=17184%5fResponse and completing the following steps. Once you have registered and have a student I.D. number, you will continue to use that number to enroll in classes and keep your training history.

1.  New students click Self Register on the left side of the screen.

The Self Register screen appears.  Enter the required information in the appropriate text fields, and click Submit

Note:  If you have previously taken a Red Cross course you may already have a Student ID you do not need to self register. To retrieve your Student ID or password, please contact your local Red Cross Chapter or User Support at 1-888-778-7762.

2.  The Development Plan screen appears, and an e-mail will be sent to your email address you entered in step 2.   You are now logged in as a student and can proceed to sign up for training.

3. Click the Catalogs link in the left hand menu to shop for classes.

 Locate the Class Title

Click the Search button. The LMS displays a list of classes according to your search criteria.

Click the title to view class details (e.g. class description, etc.)

Click the red plus sign Expand next to the desired class title. The LMS displays a list of Class IDs and their corresponding start dates.

Click the Class ID link to view detailed class information (e.g. instructor, etc.)

Click the Add to Cart button to select the class and add it to your shopping cart

The LMS displays the contents of your shopping cart.

Click the Checkout button. The LMS displays the Order Summary page.

Click the Place Order button. The LMS displays your class confirmation. (Although your enrollment status may display as “Approved” or “Pending,” you are enrolled into class.)

Within several minutes of registering, you will receive an LMS confirmation email containing:

•  Class information (Class title, start time, start date, etc.)

•  An Interwise Web Address that directs you to class

•  If you do not receive a confirmation email within thirty minutes of registration, perform the following:

· Double-check your email address in the LMS

·   Verify that you added the class to your cart, not to your Development Plan

·  Email User Support before the enrollment cut off date at UserSupp@usa.redcross.org or contact you ATLAS Account Manager.
